Contest Terms and Conditions: Gold Rush Challenge

The Gold Rush Challenge is organised by Jade Homes Sdn Bhd (Jade Hills), Bandar Serai Development Sdn Bhd (Gamuda Gardens), Gamuda Land (Kemuning) Sdn Bhd (twentyfive7), Gamuda Land (T12) Sdn Bhd (Gamuda Cove) and Highpark Development Sdn Bhd (HighPark Suites) respectively depending on the location of the event as set out in Paragraph 2(a) below (collectively, “Organiser”).

1. Eligibility

   a. The Gold Rush Challenge is open to Malaysians aged 25 years and above.

   b. Participants are restricted to a single entry in the Gold Rush Challenge regardless of the location listed above throughout the Gold Rush Challenge period.

   c. Employees of the Organiser and their immediate family members as well as employees of the Organiser’s affiliates and agencies associated with the Gold Rush Challenge and their immediate family members shall not be eligible to participate in Gold Rush Challenge.  

2. Gold Rush Challenge (Contest) Period

   a. The Gold Rush Challenge will be conducted on the specified event dates.

   

    

   b. Participants are advised to pre-register at www.gamudaland.com.my/events/LunarWanderlust and choose their preferred event location. Pre-registration entry for event and Gold Rush Challenge will be closed 2 days before the event (25th January 2024 for Jade Hills; and the remaining locations by 22nd February 2024).  

   c. A maximum of 88 pre-registered participants (per event day per township) will be accepted to participate in the Gold Rush Challenge.

   d. Participants will still be allowed to register as walk-ins on the respective event day provided that the limit of participation and winners as set out herein has not been reached.

3. Entry Requirements

   a. Participants must submit the details required in the registration page to qualify for the Gold Rush Challenge either on the pre-register link or walk-in registration counter.

   b. Each participant is limited to one entry across all event locations. 

   c. Participants who have pre-registered in accordance with clause 2(b) are required to register on the event day itself. Registration will be verified using their NRIC details.

   d. Participants who have pre-registered will be given the priority to play the game for the first 3 hours from the event starting time. Thereafter, the game will be opened to walk-in participants. 

   e. The challenge will be based on first come first serve basis whereby participants will have to queue up for their chance after registration at the selected location.

   f. Participants who registered but did not get a chance to play the game prior to the announcement of all 20 winners as per clause 5(b), will however, still be allowed to take part in the challenge. Nevertheless, no further prizes will be provided by the Organiser.

4. Gold Bar Lifting Rules

   a. The gold bar used in the Gold Rush Challenge will have a weight of 10 kilograms. 

   b. Participants must adhere to all the terms and conditions, safety guidelines and instructions provided by the Organiser.

   c. Any attempt to lift the gold bar in an unsafe or prohibited manner will result in disqualification. 

   d. Pre-registered participants will get a maximum of 90 seconds to complete the challenge, while walk-in participants only get 60 seconds to complete the challenge. 

5. Winner Selection

   a. The winners will be determined based on a successful attempt to lift the gold bar out from the transparent box within 60 seconds (for walk-in participants) or 90 seconds (for pre-registered participants). 

   b. A maximum of 20 winners per event day per location and will receive prizes.

   c. The Organiser’s decision is final, binding and conclusive. No correspondence or appeals will be entertained. 

6. Prizes

   a. Upon a successful attempt to lift the gold bar out of the transparent box within the stipulated time, each winner will receive one (1) entry ticket to either SplashMania Waterpark at Gamuda Cove or Skyline Luge Kuala Lumpur at Gamuda Gardens. 

   b. A maximum total of 180 winners of the Gold Rush Challenge from all the event locations listed will automatically qualify for a virtual lucky draw to win travel vouchers valued at RM5,000.00, RM7,000.00 or RM10,000.00 each, which are deemed as the top THREE (3) grand prizes. 

   c. For avoidance of doubt, ONE (1) winner will be entitled to win ONE (1) grand prize only among all the THREE (3) travel vouchers listed above. 

   d. The top THREE (3) grand prize winners through a virtual random draw will be announced on Gamuda Land’s Facebook page within SEVEN (7) working days from the end of the Gold Rush Challenge period on 25th February 2024. Winners will be contacted via e-mail after the announcement has been made. 

   e. The selected lucky draw winner will be required to answer ONE (1) question correctly for verification purpose when contacted by Gamuda Land representative. Upon answering the question correctly, the grand prize will be fulfilled.

   f. The eligibility to claim the prize will be forfeited if the top THREE (3) grand prize winners cannot be contacted within SEVEN (7) working days from the announcement date. 

   g. The top THREE (3) grand prize winners will be required to provide proof of identification and contact details to Gamuda Land’s representative via email for the prize delivery/collection arrangement. 

   h. Prizes are strictly not transferable, exchangeable or assignable in any form or manner. 

   i. The Organiser reserves the right to substitute any prize with that of similar value at any time without prior notice. 

7. Liability and Safety

   a. Participants acknowledge and assume all risks associated with participating in this Gold Rush Challenge.

   b. The Organiser shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage incurred or suffered arising from or in connection with participation in the Gold Rush Challenge as well as redemption and/or utilisation of any prize won.

8. Publicity

   a. By participating in this Gold Rush Challenge, participants consent to give their personal information and the Organiser reserves the right to publish, use the participants and winners’ names and/or photographs for any publicity, advertising, promotion and/or trade purposes without compensation or notice and each participant is not entitled to make any claim for the use thereof by the Organiser. 

9. Disqualification

   a. The Organiser reserve the right to disqualify any participant violating any terms and conditions for the Gold Rush Challenge or engaging in unsportsmanlike conduct.

10. Changes and Termination

    a. The Organiser reserves the right at its sole discretion to modify, suspend, postpone or terminate the Gold Rush Challenge at any time without prior notice and without any liability to any persons. 

11. Additional Terms

    a. By pre-registering and/or registering for the Gold Rush Challenge, participants are deemed to have understood and agreed to be bound by the terms and conditions of the Gold Rush Challenge.

    c. Participants may access and request for correction of personal data, to limit the processing of personal data, or to contact us with any enquiries in respect of your personal data as set out in the privacy policy. 

Terms and Conditions: Gold Rush Challenge Travel Vouchers for Winners

• Voucher Validity:  01^st Apr 2024 till 31^st Mar 2025   
• The original copy of the Travel Voucher must be presented or indicated by the Winner(s) selected by the Organiser to the official travel agency appointed by the Organiser before making reservation, otherwise the voucher is null and void.   
• The Winner(s) is required to provide necessary personal information (such as name, IC number, contact number and email address) to the official appointed travel agency by the Organiser for verification purposes.    
• The original copy of the Travel Voucher shall be submitted to the official travel agency upon receipt of travel document and / or relevant tour or hotel voucher.    
• Confirmation of travel is subject to availability of seats of designated carriers and hotels.  
• The voucher is valid for one time reservation and no partial redemption is allowed.  
• The voucher is not exchangeable for cash and not refundable.    
• If the purchase value exceeds the Tour Voucher value, the balance is to be paid by the bearer.

The Organiser reserves the right at its sole discretion to modify, suspend, postpone or terminate the Gold Rush Challenge and prizes of equivalent value at any time without prior notice and without any liability to any persons.
